This is a Sponsored post written by me on behalf of Walgreens for SocialSpark. All opinions are 100% mine.
I just returned from a doctor appointment and everything is well with me. I don't have any changes in my health and it is a good thing because I just cannot afford any more health expenditures. My insurance doesn't help me out when it comes to paying for my prescriptions.
I do have good news, however. Walgreens is offering a big help to those who are in the same boat as me. I have heard that some folks even give up purchasing food in order to buy their much needed prescriptions. Well, now they can join Walgreens Prescription Savings Club.
Walgreen's Prescription Savings Club allows me to receive discount pricing on my medications. For a small fee, I can save on over 8,000 brand-name and all generic medications. If I discover that I don't save, I can get my enrollment fee back. Not only can I save on prescriptions, I receive discounts on my yearly flu shots! I can even save if I need a prescription medication for my dog!
The club also offers bonuses when I purchase Walgreen's own labeled products, "Nice" and also on photofinishing services. That is going to be a big plus when I get my vacation pictures developed.
To find out more about Walgreens Prescription Savings Club, go to Walgreens dot com. To keep abreast of all the great things happening at Walgreens, check out Walgreens on Facebook and Walgreens on Twitter

I heard that watches are becoming a thing of the past. What?! I feel naked without my watch. It is the only piece of jewelry I wear most times. I have tried wearing bracelets but they drive me crazy. I revert back to my beautiful, trustworthy watch for its faithful job of keeping me on time.
I remember, about 35 years ago, looking longingly at the Seiko watches at our local jewelry store. Yes, the local jeweler was who we counted on for advice and quality time pieces, necklaces and earrings. Well, my husband was paying attention! I never know if he is listening or if what I say goes in one ear and out the other. LOL He was definitely listening and surprised me with a beautiful Seiko watch with small diamonds on each side of the face of the watch. I still have that watch and it still works!
Do you wear a watch? What do you count on to keep the time? I’ve heard that many folks use their cell phones to check the time. I like the convenience of looking at my watch. I’d hate to have to dig for my cell phone to check the time. How about you?

We got some snow, enough to make me want to stay inside and hibernate. I am not a cold weather lover. I always thought winter was okay when we went snow skiing but we don’t do that anymore so, snow and ice can stay away forever!

My nephew and his wife came for a few days. They live in Tennessee and sell things at flea markets. Indianapolis had a big “Garage Sale” this past weekend so they brought their wares. My sister came along too as well as her grand-daughter, aged 5. That little girl is a hoot! She had me laughing and wore me out. I hope I can be as good of grandma as my sister is. She has so much patience. Little ones take a lot of listening to and energy. I discovered that I need to update my toy box. My toys are really old! She still liked playing with them.
Now that they have all gone home, my house is too quiet. My sister lives in Kentucky and another sister lives in, as we like to call it, the Republic of Texas. It is hard to believe that we have all lived so far apart for so many years. We try to get together for big anniversaries and holidays. I know we will be gathering in Dallas in two years for my niece’s high school graduation. My sister will be checking out party hall rentals in Dallas. If the celebration is anything like what the kids do for other celebrations, it will be a fun time. They say that everything is done in a big way when it is done in Texas. LOL I might have to get a hold of a Dallas relocation guide to see if my husband could be talked into moving somewhere warm!
It is back to work today. My house is too quiet.

If you are like me, you have cut back on your spending this year. I have stayed out of the stores to keep myself from being tempted to buy things I don’t need. I have utilized the Internet to find specific items on my Christmas shopping list and have kept my spending to a minimum. Of course, I always use coupon codes found at Savings.com.
Savings.com helps me cut through all the hype and so-called deals offered by other sites. Savings.com personalizes deals for me, based on preferences I selected during the sign-up process. I feel kinda smug about the time I save using Savings.com. For instance, I have been in need of a decent pair of shoes when I go to church. I dreaded going shopping because it seems that all the dressy heels have dangerous 4″ heels. This clutzy gal is not going to wear those. Rather than spend the time and gas going from store to store, I simply checked with Saving.com and found the perfect pair of shoes at JC Penney. Better than the time I saved, was the price I paid by using my coupon code from Savings.com!
Check out Savings.com and you will be amazed by all the stores and businesses of which they are associated. From Drugstore.com and 1-800-Flowers.com to all the major department stores like, Kohls, The Gap and Macy’s, Savings.com is going to save you tons of money.
