For those of you who recommended Adobe Acrobat for my antiquated bookkeeping techniques, I checked into it. I guess maybe I’m cheap but for $299.00 I will plug along with my typewriter. That price isn’t too bad if we were a bigger operation but I can’t justify it for the amount of payroll I take care of. Oh well, maybe someday. Thanks.

At least
they were classy enough to do it face-to-face…
In June, National Semiconductor boosts morale by handing every employee a 30-gigabyte iPod, for which it makes computer chips.
In July, National lays off 35 employees – and demands their iPods back, claiming that the portable music players are company “equipment.” Isn’t that just the most selfish thing you’ve heard of?

I wish I understood more about football. When I was in high school and junior high, we learned how to play basketball, volleyball and soccer in gym class. I suppose being a girl played an important part in why we never played football in class. I think that these days they don’t limit girls as much as they did in the 60′s and 70′s. At least I hope they don’t. I never learned the ins and outs of the game. I don’t understand the penalties and the yardage stuff. I will watch the Colts play this afternoon and while I won’t really know what is going on I will get caught up in the excitement and root them on. GO COLTS! No weird fumbles and mistakes ok?

It seems antiquated to use a typewriter. I do almost all of our bookwork for the business on the computer but when it comes to filling in forms I still use a typewriter. There must be some way to do that online. If anyone has seen a way to do W2′s and such online please let me know.
