A good friend’s son just cannot kick his alcohol addiction. It has taken a toll on all of them. Addiction to drugs and alcohol is a devastating cycle that destroys life’s, families, and everything it comes in contact with. Why is it that some can take a drink and be ok but some are addicted? I notice one young man’s name in the newspaper quite often as he is arrested for driving while intoxicated. He has written articles in the paper about how alcohol is ruining his life. He is my daughter’s age. He has a wife and a baby. He probably started drinking at parties like the rest of the kids his age. The difference was he became addicted. It just breaks my heart. I feel bad but I am not trained to know how to help.

There are addiction treatment centers trained to deal with these problems and hopefully help people recover so they can lead productive lives. You know when the kids are home that we are bound to be watching movies. Last night I got a surprise because my husband wanted to go to the movie theater! We ate at a nice Italian restaurant and then walked around the mall a bit to go to a 9:40 pm show. I tell ya, this was totally out of character for my hubby who likes to be in bed early.

It is so seldom that we get to sit down at a table and relax. Our dinner was yummy. Hubby had salmon and I had talapia. Greg and his girlfriend both had some kind of fettuccine. This is a local restaurant but they serve a salad similar to what you get at Olive Garden. I love that salad and could make a meal of that all on it’s own. Of course, I couldn’t resist the breadsticks. It was a nice evening.

Doggone it! I should have waited to get my phone. They have free RAZR phones at Wirefly! I should learn patience. I could save some money. I do love my RAZR phone. It is so skinny that I can carry it in my pocket without it being bulky or noticeable. It has Bluetooth capabilities so it will be great for driving or working at the computer. I can get accessories from Wirefly. Their accessories store is great. They have quality, original accessories with selection and prices you just won’t find at retail stores. I want the Cherry Blossom color! I wonder if I can get it and say it is for the next holiday. Let me see. I think that could be to celebrate the Cherry Blossom festival! Yep, that’s my story and I’m stickin’ to it!
