My friend Kat has been dealing with a maniac who takes her information and pictures from her blog and puts them on a horrible hate forum. I don’t understand why people would perpetuate hate. I just do not get it. Kat is a great person who has helped me understand the web and how to make my blog be the most it can be. She loves her kids. Even if she was a mean person, why would someone feel they have the right to use her as a mechanism for their own joy. That wouldn’t make me happy. I guess I don’t understand a mind like that. Kat was on the Good Morning America show today and gave a little bit of her opinion on the subject. She didn’t even mention the maniac’s name or website. I’ll bet that just killed him. Ha!

Have you ever wanted to enter a contest or try to win something at an auction but didn’t because you didn’t think you would stand a chance of getting the prize? Here is a turn around idea! At Bid4prizes you, ummm, bid4prizes! The catch is, the lowest unique bidder wins! Isn’t that a great twist? I am getting ready to bid on the Sony VAIO VGN-FE590. You can never have too many laptops you know.
The lowest unique bid for every prize starts out at one penny – but if more than one person bids a penny, then that penny is no longer the lowest unique bid and 2 cents is. If more than one person bids 2 cents then 3 cents is the next lowest unique bid. And so on and so on. The winning bid could be anything, it could be a penny, or $1.05 even $500.22! Whatever is the lowest UNIQUE bid wins the prize! I think I’m going to start out at $1.23. I don’t know why! It just sounds like a winner.

Condensed from US News & World Report May 7, 2007 issue.
If you don’t associate caviar with the state of Indiana, well, it turns out you’re mostly right. Last week in Vevay, IN, state conservation officers broke up a ring that was illegally harvesting paddlefish eggs and then selling them as caviar.
A shortage of sturgeon eggs has spawned a lucrative market for paddlefish eggs, which have a similar taste and look. Paddlefish can be legally harvested in the Ohio River but not in tributaries like Tanner’s Creek, which is among the locales where the ring was allegedly operating. The tributaries have heavy concentrations of spawning fish, and paddlefish are threatened.

One of the things I was surprised at was when I didn’t get mad when Stacy got her belly button pierced. I think belly button piercings are kinda sexy! Belly Button Rings are easy to cover up when it isn’t the right place to be showing your piercings. LOL
I want to get her this dangle belly ring called Mardi Gras Remembered. I think it is fitting to honor the time she spent during the cleanup in New Orleans after Hurricane Katrina. She was awarded a medal from the Coast Guard for her contributions.
All Piercings website has so many beautiful things that it is hard to choose just one. At their great prices, maybe I’ll order two.

I sure wish I hadn’t postponed Brody’s haircut. My poor little shitzu looks like an Eskimo and it is 80 degrees outside. He is just laying around trying to stay cool. I notice he picks the cooler surfaces like the ceramic tile to lay on. Poor thing. I guess we are going to have to turn on the air conditioner. I can stand it but I don’t want my dog to suffer!
