Kissimmee; Something for Everyone

I am notorious for spotting famous people. I saw Ken Kercheval, Cliff Barnes from Dallas fame, at the Indianapolis airport. Sadly, I had to go potty and missed getting his autograph. If you are aware of my stomach issues, you know that when I say, I could not get his autograph and then relieve myself, I mean it. Darn IBS issues. Anyway, I did see him. Did you know that he successfully fought lung cancer in 1993, and had to have a significant portion of his lung removed, as a result of years of heavy smoking? I wonder what he has been up to lately.

When we travel to large cities like Los Angeles, Denver and Orlando, I am on the look out for celebrities. I have heard that there are celebrities who hang out in the Kissimmee, Florida area. Kissimmee is a wonderful vacation spot so it is no wonder that many celebrities have chosen the area not only as a vacation spot but have made it their home. Do you think that Kissimmee is where Mickey hides out when he is tired of the paparazzi?

Kissimmee is a wonderful place full of beautiful scenery, shopping and dining spots. Right now Kissimmee is holding a sweepstakes where you can win a wonderful getaway. Check out how you can win a wonderful vacation trip by visiting their website.

The website description of small-town charm, theme park thrills, outdoor adventures, challenging golf, tranquil beach landscapes has me chomping at the bit to get there. How about you?

XShot Left at Home Blunder

Photobucket
I am an idiot. I forgot to take my XShot camera extender with me when I went on vacation last week! Bonk on my head.

I was at the quilt show in Paducah, Kentucky and there were several occasions when we had to ask someone to take our picture in order to have us all in the shot. It was disappointing to get our pictures and find that our heads had been cut off in my favorite shot. Darn.

Our Visit to St. Louis

My previous post got quite a few responses. Thanks so much! It is funny how a little bitty fly can turn our stomachs. LOL

If you would like to hear about another experience we had, be sure to read all about our St. Louis experience. We were in St. Louis checking out Greg’s choice for law school. I think it will be a good fit for our son. We sat in on an actual class where several cases were being discussed. I think I would enjoy law school. A moot court was held and it gave thoughtful insight to potential law students. What I think Greg discovered about St. Louis School of Law is that the professors and staff are there to help the students excel.

The hotel where we stayed left a lot to be desired. We think it was a hospital in a former life. You could tell where the nurses’ station had been. Both Greg and Lynn said they had trouble sleeping. I suppose they were subconsciously thinking that while they slept, a nurse might arrive with a syringe and hurt them.

On a good note, we could see the Gateway Arch from our window.
