Bringing Business Owners and Freelance Contractors Together

One of the most rewarding jobs you will ever have involves freelancing. Why, you ask is freelancing so rewarding? Many people think they can work on their own and not have a boss looking over their shoulder. They find that they lack the motivation to keep themselves in line and doing the best at their profession. They let everyday life get in the way of their professionalism. There are many who have made a success with freelancing. They are to be commended for their diligence. I say they should be rewarded. We employ many carpet installers who are freelancers. We work alongside many freelancers in the construction business. Freelancers are diligent, hardworking entrepreneurs.

Freelancers often have problems connecting with businesses who need their services. Freelancers will be pleased to know that someone has built a website that will make the task easier. The Freelance Nation is a website that freelancers can use to find temporary employment or continuing assignments. It is a helpful site for businesses who are looking for freelancers to complete a job for their business.

Freelance Nation is a website consisting of over 119 city specific freelance job boards. That means it is a sort of “one stop shopping site” for freelancers and businesses. Small business owners will find that this website is useful as they locate freelancers, contractors and temporary employees. The service is free to employers. The ability to choose from freelancers in over 500 sub-categories allows the business owner to complete important tasks and build their business. The task of finding employees when working across the country or in their own back yard is simplified by using Freelance Nation.

The website is so simple to use that freelancers will find themselves choosing assignments in no time. The listings are divided into categories that make it easy to find your niche and peruse the site. The site is very new and so it is in an opportune time to get involved as there is not as much competition for each freelance job listing. Get involved at the beginning of what will surely become a long time relationship.

Vista Print Has You Covered

Having been in business for over 25 years I have seen many business cards. There are certain business cards that attract my attention. They aren’t necessarily the expensive business cards. I am drawn to them because they are made with quality paper and have an attractive font. They have a professional quality look about them. I always order my business cards online from Vista Print. I am thinking about ordering some for the craft show I will be participating in this coming July. My family is busy making bags and purses to sell. So many customers ask for our phone number and how to contact us that it would be nice to have a business card with that information already printed. I have been using a signature stamp to put a note in each package so we can tell who made each bag. Vista Print has so many things besides business cards.

Vista Print is a favorite of many businesses but they are also becoming well known in the hobby world. We hobbyists need to get our name out and for that, we turn to Vista Print. I am very fond of the magnets that have our logo printed on them. When someone has that, they tend to remember us.

Internet Billboard

Always looking for new ways to promote our business, I happened upon a new web service. With the ability to advertise our business in a professional way, I found MyCityFaces.com fit the niche of many businesses. From small craft type offerings to medical businesses, it is a great place. Nail techs as well as doctors are beginning to list their businesses. This site is going to become more popular as readers discover all the value it has to offer.

The website is broken down by cities so you can find what you need in your specific location. If you need a new dentist, simply type in the location and go to the dentist category. Just by typing in Indiana, I was directed to a great auto mechanic in my area. The great thing about this site is that you can list your service or business and there is no charge. Yes, that means it is FREE! This portal is going to be like having an electronic billboard at your keypad. Sign up for a free membership to promote your business and utilize the site for your own needs. Bringing businesses and services to the people is what this site is all about. In fact, they were founded with the idea of bringing people together, face to face.

Interior Design

I am helping a couple choose floor covering for their entire home. The only pieces of furniture that I have to keep in mind are a burgundy leather sofa and an oak grandfather clock. Everything else is subject to change. I even convinced them to update the ceramic on the front of their fireplace. I am having fun with this project.

The leather sofa gave me direction on color and the grandfather clock is guiding me on style. Their house is an English tudor style and I want the floor covering to reflect that. The leather sofa certainly fits and Howard Miller clocks add style to any home. I love the one they have. It is a triple chime with three hanging tubes and is absolutely gorgeous. I am going to recommend that they put it in their foyer which is quite large and needs a piece to make a bold statement. Grandfather clocks certainly make a statement.

I have been reading the blog at 18004clocks to find out the proper way to move the clock. I don’t want to be responsible for messing it up. The blog has a category called Interior Design that has been very helpful. You may not need their design help but if you want to find out the history and other interesting things about clocks you should check out the blog. Howard Miller Clocks add interest to a home and become a family heirloom that many generations will enjoy.

Business Has a Website

I am so excited. Our business finally has a website of it’s own. Check it out at Moser’s Floor Covering. Katy at I’m Blogging That did the work and I love what she came up with. Thanks Katy.

The floor covering pictures are of my husband and our 28 year employee, Jeff. The others are work that my husband, Lynn has done.

Do you like the website? Do you see anything that it needs?

Kate, can you believe we did it?
