Affordable Beauty Products

This is a Sponsored Post written by me on behalf of BH Cosmetics. All opinions are 100% mine.

PhotobucketI have always purchased my makeup at department stores. I never liked paying the high prices but thought I had to pay the price for quality makeup. I shudder to think how much money I have spent over the years for foundation, mascara and eye shadow. I would buy blush at the drugstore but foundation and powder had to be the good stuff. I was afraid to buy cheap eyeshadow because it might cause eye infections.

After searching for a product that was of high quality but at an affordable price, I was introduced to BH Cosmetics. Their products feature the latest pallets of color yet are very economical. They are interested in saving their customers money while giving them the best quality products. BH Cosmetics eyeshadow is "highly
pigmented", bendable with strong staying power

I am very picky about what I put on my skin and want products that moisturize and look natural. BH Cosmetics products are just that. Their eye shadow is highly pigmented and bendable and that means they won’t make unnatural creases on my eyelids. They come in so many pallets of matte and shimmering color that it is easy to match tones and blend colors to match my outfits. They blend well and their stay power means they don’t flake. They are long lasting yet feel light and soft. The cost of the huge pallet is so good that I can afford to buy the lip pallets as well.

Check for yourself and see the different pallets of color you will be anxious to try. Check out BH Cosmetics.

Egg Recall

Thankfully, we have chosen to purchase organic milk and eggs since watching the movie, Food Inc. Many are having to check their egg cartons to see if they fall into the category of recalled eggs.

You can check to see if your eggs are the ones on the list by going to Food Safety. I garnered the following information from that website.

Dates and codes can be found stamped on the end of the egg carton or printed on the case label. However, not all affected brands will be printed in the same order. Typically, the plant number begins with the letter P and then the number. In most cases the Julian date follows the plant number, for example: P-1720 223. If your carton has a combination of numbers that matches the affected plant number AND Julian date, your eggs are affected in the recall. Using the example above, P-1720 223 may appear on some cartons as 223 #1720, 1720 223 or other variations. It is important to note that both the plant number and Julian date must match. If the Julian date does not match the affected plant number than your eggs are not involved in the recall.

You may want to visit the website to learn more about this recall and what you can do to be safe.

I’m Sporting New Specs, Finally

I feel like a new person! I finally got new prescription glasses that fit me. My old glasses had scratched lenses and were so bent out of shape that I would get headaches while wearing them. These new frames are sturdy and hold their shape. I haven’t been reading in bed lately but I have an idea that they will withstand that test of holding their shape during that time too. I am hard on frames. I admit it! The expense of new glasses has kept me in my old ones far too long.

Now that I know how good these new glasses feel, I am interested in getting prescription sunglasses. I like being able to wear prescription sunglasses. Not switching from glasses to sunglasses, keeps me from getting headaches.

I checked prices at our local optometrist and they want way too much money even by offering a 50% sale because I purchased my glasses from them. I prefer ZenniOptical’s pricing. At Zenni, full UV protection tinted lenses are very affordable. Enough so that I can get two pair! Or I can get sunshades that fit right on my prescription glasses. Now, I just have to decide which frames to get! Decisions, decisions. LOL

Thinking About That Cow Poop

On Saturday evening, hubby and I watched the movie, Food, Inc. I was afraid to watch it and my fears were fulfilled. I saw cows standing in their own poop and chickens so heavy that their legs would not support their bodies. In an effort to produce the most product for the least amount of money, producers are forcing farmers to use methods that are not healthy for animals. I wonder if the product we eat is full of chemicals that are causing all the cases of autism we see today.

I am only one person but I plan on buying more organic vegetables and free range meat.

Look for the New Design

This is a Sponsored Post written by me on behalf of PBM Products. All opinions are 100% mine.

I wanted to give everyone a sort of “Heads Up” on the new design of Bright Beginnings formula. When I hear of a terrific product, I want to share and I would hate for anyone to miss out because they are looking for a particular colored label, etc.
Bright_beginnings_1
Bright Beginnings has a new label that is, um very bright! LOL I think it is attractive and has all the important information written clearly on the front so you can make an informed choice on which formula is best for your baby. While breast is the best, Bright Beginnings satisfies the unique nutritional needs of growing infants. Bright Beginnings meets all FDA standards and the recommendations of the World Health Organization for DHA and ARA.

As more moms find that, because of the FDA standards, all formula contains the same components. That means you can rest assured that you are buying the best formula when you buy Bright Beginnings even if it is not the most expensive brand. That means you can use your savings to buy diapers or pay for a dinner out for you and your hubby.

I recently discovered the convenience of ordering Bright Beginnings available at diapers.com. If you are a first time buyer at Diapers.com you can get a discount of $5 when you use the code “NEW5?. All customers receive free shipping on orders over $49.00 so stock up when ordering!
