It Would Be Nice to Have a Garden

This is a Sponsored post written by me on behalf of Whitney Farms for SocialSpark. All opinions are 100% mine.

AdvertisementI have never been great at growing things. Now, I have noticed that our gutters are doing a good job of sprouting little maple trees but I doubt that counts as gardening.

Do you garden? Do you have a vegetable garden or a flower garden?

I have a small flower garden. I started planting perinnials 10 years ago, in hopes that it would cut down on buying expensive plants each year. It has helped but the perinnials never seem to get any larger. I think they should have been started in better soil. I have since learned that using organic soil will help the root system of plants. Whitney Farms® organic soil is made up of specially designed protein-based blends that provide your plants with both macro and micronutrients they need to grow and thrive.

While perusing the Whitney Farms website, I also learned that I should be helping my plants by feeding them organic plant food.

Organic Plant Food

I have given my violets plant food for years. I don't know why I didn't think my outdoor plants would benefit also. Unlike other plant food products from other companies, Whitney Farms plant food and soils are made of 100% natural ingredients. That means when using their products, you are using wholesome, good for the earth products. I like that.

Check out the Whitney Farms website where you will find a $3 coupon to help get you started with a better gardening experience.

Spring Has Sprung

This is a Sponsored post written by me on behalf of Scotts® for SocialSpark. All opinions are 100% mine.

AdvertisementWhen my peach tulips start to poke up out of the ground, I know spring has finally sprung. Even if my tulips look a bit scraggily. I don't have a green thumb so it amazes me when something I have planted survives.

Our ground is hard and tight and does not produce luscious flower beds like the ones I have seen in magazines. It is disappointing to say the least. There is hope. I ran across a new product called Expand ‘n Gro™. When added to my soil, this product allows more air to dirt ratio and makes a big difference on making plants happy. This video explains it better than I can…

The nice thing about this product is that it is easy to use. When added to water, it expands up to three times! That means I get a lot of coverage from a smaller package. That makes my back happy. Do you find your efforts to have beautiful plants a frustrating? Go to the Expand 'n Gro website to see how you can get a sample of this new product and try it out for yourself. It is available at most garden centers in the Midwest, Northeast and Texas. Please visit expandngro.com for in-store availability information. Also available at Amazon.com. EnG Product Shot.png

What A Weekend

My son and his wife bought a house! I am so excited for them. We helped them move all the stuff they had in their apartment to the new house. Luckily, they have a basement in the new house because they have a lot of stuff. It is good stuff! They cleaned and got rid of a ton of stuff but you know how it is. You have seasonal clothes, bake ware you only use during a holiday, etc.. Some things you are going to need!

During the move, I bumped my glasses and now I will be taking advantage of the wonderful buy 2 pairs get the 3rd pair free (equal or less value) promotion on all eyeglasses at Zenni Optical. How lucky am I that they decided to hold their biggest promotion ever when I am in need of a new pair of glasses! Now I can have two backup pair and not find myself in this predicament again. Zenni offers high quality complete prescription eyeglasses at low prices. I wish they offered new muscles at low prices. I climbed so many stairs this weekend, I don’t think my legs and back will ever be right again. LOL

My Days

Things have been going pretty normal around this house. After getting our new stove, our coffee pot died and we replaced it. Other than that things are good. The spring like weather has people getting in the mood to remodel or update in their homes. That is good for our business. It keeps our installation crews busy.

My husband is thinking about trying Nopalea. Nopalea is a wellness drink sourced from the fruit of the Nopal cactus (Opuntia Ficus Indica). It has been scientifically proven to help the body reduce the type of inflammation my husband gets from his demanding job. Now would be a good time to try Nopalea as they are offering Nopalea for free (only pay $9.95 for shipping) by calling 1-800-203-7063.

The spring like weather also has me in the mood to clean. I have been going through our closets and getting rid of a lot of old clothes, shoes and purses. I thought I had recently tackled that task but things have multiplied again! Donating these items makes me feel good. Having clean closets makes me feel even better! I have been washing all the blankets and drying them on the clothesline. Nothing beats the smell of bedding after it has dried outdoors. Ah!

I Love Clipix!

A few days ago I mentioned that I had found a new system to help me remember things I found on the net. Well, let me tell you again, because I absolutely love this system! In stead of saving things as bookmarks and then having to wade through them, which I never want to do thus defeating the save, I save my finds to clipix. I cannot believe how much easier it is to organize things using clipix.

Instead of me rambling on, watch this video to see how amazing clipix is!

If you remember my last post about clipix, you will remember that I was saving information whenever I came across something having to do with quilting and sewing. PhotobucketSince finding out how easy clipix is to use, I am saving recipes, exercises, travel information and so much more! There are no limits on how much clipix can simplify your life!

Clipix can also be shared. Let's imagine you are trying to plan a family reunion. You can use clipix to save information about hotels, fun things to do in the host town and restaurants. That information can be open to other members attending the reunion so they can utilize the info. Your relatives will think you are so smart!

Check out clipix and let me know what you will be clipping to your board. Do you need to keep track of gluten free recipes? How about a list of your medications. See? The list goes on and on. Get started using clipix! You will love it.
