Food Everywhere!
One of the great things about the holidays is that my kids love to cook. When they visit, I reap the benefits. My daughter and daughter in-law joined efforts and made scones. It killed me to not tell my daughter there was a Kitch-aid mixer under the tree.

Some had cranberries in them. Some were frosted. All were delicious!

Such fun cooking together! I’ve never made scones. That’s something I’d like to do someday. Wish I could taste one of yours.

All your scones look yummy and delicious! Now a days all kids just love to spend their time with friends on social networking sites or party around somewhere. They are less involved with family matters. Looking at your kids, I think you are very fortunate to have them! Thanks for sharing it!

It is great to see some women in the kitchen rather than choosing take away or hotels to dine. This reminds me so much of my mom who always liked to bake and cook for us. My wife is now one of those modern women who is working and taking care of the kids and has no time to cook, which means we eat boiled packet foods or hotel foods. No home food for us, I feel bad for my kids and try to cook on Sundays for them. I like this recipe you have given and they do look yum. Am going to be making this for my kids this week-end. Thanks and cheers, your family is lucky to have a mom like you who has time and energy to cook.

This was a nice revealing into your world Karen. There is nothing like a homemade meal around the holiday time. This reminded me of the time I spent with my family in Alaska, sadly I work here far from them and pictures like this make me nostalgic. All the best to you and your family for 2012.

I remember making scones a few years ago and they came out a little hard (sadface). I am going to try again, hopefully they come out better this time. I like the ones with the chocolate filling.

I just love to cook. I have been trying different dishes since a couple of years now and your dish looks delicious as well. It would be great if you can share the recipe of your dish. Actually I kind of envy you for having such kinds who can be of a helping hand at the time of need as in my case, I have to do all the cooking no matter what.
