Meet Me on Monday #58

I have been following along, reading blogs who participate in this meme and it is always enlightening. I think I shall join in!
1. I wish I had more time to _________?
Sleep. Even on the days when I could sleep in, I can’t seem to do it. It drives me crazy!

2. What is your favorite kind of soup?
I love Panera Bread’s potato soup. Unfortunately, it doesn’t like me back. Oh wait! that is a good thing cuz it is really fattening so I should stay away from it anyways!

3. Where will you eat Thanksgiving dinner? At my sister’s house in Kentucky. I cannot wait! Our daughter is joining us there. I’ll miss being with our son and his wife though. They are traveling to a wedding up north.

4. What is your favorite time of day? 5:00 pm. I have just closed the store and get to decide what project I am going to tackle for the evening.

5. Did you start Christmas shopping yet?
I don’t plan to do much shopping this year. Our kids are at a stage in their lives when they need some things for their homes and we plan to help where we are able. That means cutting back on shopping. I’ll buy a few things for the Grandmas and that will be it. I hope I don’t cave!

Who Is Cuter?

No matter how down in the dumps I might be, a wagging tail cheers me up. They do the silliest things that get me laughing. Pets are good for your soul.

Something to Smile About

Instead of constantly checking the news to see how the stock market is doing, following celebrity weddings and break ups, I am happy to say that I found something pretty amazing on the web.

If you are around my age, you can remember playing outside until it got dark. I always whined about having to take a bath but got yelled at to get out of the tub because I loved turning into a prune! I especially loved the video, Still Free. He talked about games I had totally forgotten about. Do you remember freeze tag?

Do Your Eyes Need Assistance?

This is the quilt pattern that I am working on at the moment. It is called, Hearts and Gizzards and is a real doozy to put together. I had to have my husband help me line up the blocks! It might be difficult because the colors have to be turned a certain way in order for the flower to appear. I choose to believe it is because my eyeglasses need to be updated.

Have you had your eyes tested in a while? There are new posts on Facebook that have a message hidden in a picture. Have you tried to figure out what they say? Do you find that your eyes dry out when watching television? These are but a few examples of reasons to have your eyes examined.
