Hard to Resist These
It is hard to believe but it is time, once again, for our church’s rejoicing service. This is the service where the choir sings songs celebrating the birth of Christ. Sometimes we have groups from different high schools perform their Christmas show. It is a fun, relaxing time of singing, reflecting and laughter.
After the service, we gather for food. We are asked to bring something to snack on and this is often the time when our best cooks show off. It is no time to be on a diet!
While at my sister’s house over the Thanksgiving holidays, my niece made Oreo Balls. OMG! They are wonderful. I shall be making these for the rejoicing service/tasting party.
Oreo Balls
Ingredients1 package regular size Oreo cookies, crushed
1 (8 ounce) packages cream cheese, softened
1 package white almond bark
1 package chocolate almond barkDirections
Using a blender or hand held mixer, mix Oreos and cream cheese together.
Roll into walnut size balls.
Chill for an hour.
Melt approximately 3/4 package of white almond bark.
Stick a toothpick in an Oreo ball and dip it in the melted white almond bark.
Allow to harden on wax paper.
Takes about 15 min.
While waiting, melt about 1/4 package of chocolate almond bark.
When Oreo balls are no longer sticky to the touch, decorate with drizzles of chocolate and white almond bark.
Use a sandwich bag with a tiny hole cut in one corner to drizzle the almond bark.
Has anyone made these? Why am I just now finding out about them? LOL

My goodness! Look at these Oreo Balls. They look delicious and yummy! I don’t like to cook or bake by my own since I know I am not good at that. But yes I am not going to let these Oreo balls go away like this. I am surely going to ask my mom to make some of these for me. Thanks a ton for reminding.

I’m not a big fan of sweets but this sounds so good, I might have to give it a try. Thanks for the idea.

First time I’ve heard of oreo balls! I should try this! We’ve tried a simpler recipe of just crushing chocolate biscuits or graham and mixing it with condensed milk, forming it into balls and rolling them on confectioners sugar!

While rummaging through our supplies today, I remembered my comment on this post! haha
I didn’t mean confectioners sugar. I meant for dessicated coconut!
Well, just correcting myself. Have a great week ahead!

Hey I tried making these Oreo balls last weekend. They taste delicious. I just could not resist myself from eating them. But unfortunately the day when I made them I had a lot of guest arrivals at my place. I just wish I could have some more of them. But no worries I will surely make them again probably next weekend.
