One of the things I get excited about when watching the Olympics is that I get the chance to learn about the culture of the hosting country. I loved learning about China and Canada in the recent games. Next year, the Olympics will be held in England. Now, England has been in the news quite a bit lately, what with the royal wedding and now the fascination with Kate Middleton's sister, Pippa. I am excited about England too! My friend just found out her daughter was chosen to cheer in a group of teen cheerleaders who will be marching in the New Year's Day parade in London. My friend and her husband decided to take the whole family to England over Christmas and New Years. How exciting!

I have been looking over different phone plans to help my friend find a a way to make economical international calls from England. You see, her mother is in a nursing home and the facility needs to be able to get a hold of my friend in the event something happens. Her mom is 97 so the possibility is always in the back of one's mind.

Well, I have found, not only a fantastic plan for my friend to to use to call her mother but I might be jumping at the chance to use Straight Talk's plans myself!

Straight Talk has the most economical plans and they don't require a contract. I am amazed how low their plans can be and still use name brand phone manufacturers like LG, Motorola, Nokia, etc. I sure could use the extra money to pay a few bills.

You might think the prices are low because you don't get much for your money. You would be wrong! In addition to their low international flexible prepaid calling service where you can feel free to call a friend, they offer 1000 minutes, 1000 texts and 30 MB of data in their "All You Need" plan. Sounds like everything you need! That is only one example of the many affordable plans they offer.

The prices of their phones are certainly affordable. They have reconditioned phones for as little as $10 and they have the latest and greatest bang for your buck phones like the smart phones that have all those cool gadgets.

Sounds like Straight Talk has me convinced, hook, line and sinker. Well, I like a good deal when I find one!
