Fashion Statement
I can’t believe I am showing this picture but this is what I have been forced to wear in order to keep my sanity on this fishing trip. Hubby and I arrived in Southern Indiana yesterday for a much anticipated few days of fishing. This area is infested with biting gnats. They have been killing the deer in the area because they get into their nostrils and cause problems. What a mess.
We have caught a few fish and the weather has been awesome. I am doing some research on what brought the gnats to this area and what can be done about them. It is hurting the tourism in this area. What used to be known for great fishing and hunting has become a nightmare of bug infestation over the past three years. It is a shame.

This reminds me of a camping trip I took in Northern Ontario up in Canada back in my college days. The bugs were so thick we spent most of the day in our tents and only came out in the evening when it got a little cooler. I wish I had your headgear during that trip.
