The Things We Remember

If you have ever traveled with your siblings you have probably experienced the fun of “recalling memories”. My poor mom probably wished we would quit saying, do you remember. LOL

One thing that I remember doing as a child was having picnics. Even if we only went into our yard to lay down a blanket and eat peanut butter and jelly sandwiches, it was fun to do something out of the norm. I carried on this fun tradition with my own children. They would get so excited to see me getting out the picnic basket sets, an old blanket and hear me say, “let’s eat outside”! It is amazing how lunch becomes fun with picnic backpacks and lunch cleanup is extra easy.

Are you trying to think of a gift for someone this Christmas? Wouldn’t it be nice to encourage your children to picnic with your grandchildren? Check out 1001 Picnic Baskets.com. They have beautiful picnic baskets and picnic backpacks that make well received holiday, birthday or wedding gifts.
Here’s to the memories!

We went on picnics when I was growing up, mostly on Sundays after church (with my mother’s homemade fried chicken, etc). Great memories!

This is a great gift idea. Something I wouldn’t have thought of. My mom is a super proud grandma and loves her *job*- I bet she’d love something like this for Christmas.
