Looking Forward to the Week

These past few weekends have taken a toll on me. I am so sore from pulling weeds and mowing grass. Last weekend I pulled weeds and didn’t wear gardening gloves. I have trouble feeling the weeds and getting them pulled by their roots when wearing gloves. My hands are still scabby from all the splinters and scratches. So, yesterday, I decided I would wear gloves, which, I am proud to say, were purchased using ShopWikii . They have everything from clothing to gardening supplies and they save me time by finding the best deals on the web. They don’t work like the regular search engines who get paid to list their sites. Their search encompasses thousands of websites! For instance, if I need a new pair of hedge trimmers, I simply use their website to find out what kind of hedge trimmers there are, then use their consumer search to see which ones are recommended as the best for my needs.

Anyway, I shook the gloves before I put them on in case any spiders had decided to make one their home. I was wearing the gloves while pushing rocks around and wouldn’t you know it, a bee flew into my glove and stung me. It stung me a few times before I realized what was happening. Ouch! If not for all the beautiful daffodils blooming around my work area, I would have thrown up my hands and said forget it.

I was moving rocks in order to lay some patio blocks down next to the sidewalk leading into our backyard. It is a muddy area that seems to always be dirty. I hope the patio blocks make the area stay cleaner.

Need a Girdle?

After helping a friend move her mother to a nursing home, I felt as if I had gone back in time. Going through Mildred’s things was interesting. She saved old coins that may be valuable. There were pages of old sheet music in folders that must hold meaning of some kind. I hope my friend asks her mom about them as well as identifying the people in a hundred pictures tucked away in drawers and jewelry boxes. There was an old pocket watch that I’d be curious about. Was it my friend’s grandfathers? Was it her father’s?

Another find was carefully wrapped in layers of cotton and then placed in a small manila envelope. A simple gold wedding band was kept separate from all other jewelry. Who did it belong to?

American Residential Law Group

There are at least 4 foreclosures listed in our newspaper each day. That means that there are people who are losing their home. The downward spiral of the economy has meant that people have lost their incomes and have been unable to meet their responsibilities. These are not people who frivilously entered into a contract. These are people who work hard but had the rug pulled out from under them. These people need someone they can turn to in their time of crisis.

Foreclosure is not always the course of action one has to take when finding ones self behind in home loan payments. A loan modification attorney is experienced in how to reduce home mortgage payments and prevent foreclosure by the lien holder. The team of professionals at the American Residential Law Group are interested in helping their clients achieve the best coarse of action to fit their individual need. They have provided consumers legal assistance for over 12 years. If you find yourself in this situation, let them guide you.

Snow Flurries?!!

I could not believe my ears when I heard the weather forecaster say it was supposed to snow today. Thankfully, I have not seen any flurries. I think I will cry if I do. This has been the longest winter I can remember. If it snows, my poor tree will suffer. Here is a picture of it and the river rock I had hauled in last week.

and here are a few flowers that survived the winter and bloomed this past week.

Must See Movie, Date Night

This is a Sponsored Post written by me on behalf of 20th Century Fox. All opinions are 100% mine.

Before we all get wrapped up in yard work and ball games, write down April 9th, 2010 on your calendar. This is the release date for the hilarious Date Night Movie, starring Steve Carell and Tina Fey.

Have you heard about this movie? You may have heard about the four-and-a-half minute kiss experienced by the talented actors. LOL

The movie tells the story of an everyday couple who, like most married couples, need to put a little romance back into their marriage. The couple has three children and if you have kids, you know how parents become nonpersons, with their needs pushed aside. They need some time to themselves and decide to have, what they deem, a date night. Things seem better but they find their bi-monthly dates becoming as routine as their parenting with each ordering the same foods, talking about the kids and complaining about the in-laws. Date night becomes one more evening of routine ritual until one particular date night. The night becomes an evening that includes a wild car chase, a shootout and a showdown with an underworld boss at a strip club. Let me say, the marriage had more excitement than bargained for at the end of this date!

Watch the following movie trailer to see a few of the antics in Date Night:

Check out the movie and hope your date night never goes haywire like this one does!
