Most Wonderful Son Award
My most wonderful son, Greg, spent 4 or 5 hours last night finding Pioneer Woman’s book signing location in St. Louis, bought a cookbook for me and waited in line to have it autographed. He even put her on the phone so she could say hi to me while she signed my book! What a great kid.
I love you Greg. Thanks for such a wonderful surprise.

That’s so great! I’m going to try to make it to Skokie to see her tomorrow night, but I hear that people start lining up hours early. It’ll probably be a packed house by the time I get off work.

How lucky to have such a sweet and thoughtful Son. My Son would never have done anything like that for me, I’m jealous.

Corrin, Greg got there about 5:30 and there were only about 40 people. By 7 there were about 200. It was at a church and not a bookstore so I don’t know how it will be for you. Skokie starts at 7:30 so that might help. From what I have read, they are organized so hopefully that helps get you where you need to be! Have fun!

You must not have the evil eye mastered, Jude! My kid’s dread “the evil eye”. Oh wait, I may have used the mommy whine.

That must have been such a wonderful surprise. There are no signing anywhere near here (I checked a while back).
Your son is a true blue awesome dude! Seriously.

Hey Karen!
I know absolutely nothing about this cookbook or its author, but it sounds as though a signed copy will be a treat for you. All the more, knowing what your son did to make it happen for you!
It says to me that you must have done a few things right in bringing him up!

Aw, thanks Brad. Yes, he is a keeper and I rarely had to kick his butt to get him this way. LOL Actually, he is a lot like his Dad.

What a really great thing! There’s nothing like it when they give you a surprise like that. Treasure it.

You are so blessed to have a loving son! I read about one of her book signings on Twitter and how long the line was.
