Oh my goodness! I almost forgot to participate in one of my favorite memes, Heads or Tails. Skittles always thinks of the most fun topics for us participants. The theme/prompt for THIS week, September 15, is:

I chose to rhyme with the word way. I am thinking about the word stay. I wish our dogs knew how to “stay”. Training makes the difference between a wild uncontrollable animal and a lovable manageable house pet. Effective training can be given to a dog from the age of eight weeks. It is best for the owner and dog to start training before bad habits become deeply ingrained. Too late for our two!
and no, they don’t “stay” off the furniture either.

September 9 is the 252nd day of the year (253rd in leap years) in the Gregorian calendar. There are 113 days remaining until the end of the year. Interesting? I love the numbers game. What makes today’s date even more interesting is that it is 09/09/2009. We won’t be seeing that again.

The third child of local couple Chuck and Polly Berendes was born at 9:09 a.m. on Sept. 9 and weighed, of course, 9 pounds, 9 ounces at birth.
“I don’t know how it happened, but it’s pretty crazy,” Chuck Berendes, 29, told the paper.
The couple joked about the possibility of a triple-nine birthday when Polly’s doctor scheduled a C-section. Chuck even suggested how funny it would be if the baby arrived at 9:09 a.m.
He told the Tribune he forgot about the numbers until after little Henry was put on the scales for the first time.
“They measure in metric and the doctor did the math in his head, but to be sure, he had the nurse convert it,” he told the paper. “When she said 9 pounds, 9 ounces, I started laughing and he started laughing.”

On September 9, 2009, after a nearly 22-year wait, digitally remastered versions of all of the Beatles studio albums will be released, a press release has confirmed. Each album will feature the track listings and artwork as it was originally released in the U.K. and come with expanded booklets including original and newly written liner notes and rare photos. For a limited time, each of the Fab Four’s 12 proper albums will be “embedded” with a brief documentary about its making. The re-releases will include the Beatles’ 12 studio albums and Magical Mystery Tour as well as Past Masters Vol. I and II, which will be packaged as one collection. All 14 discs will be available with DVDs of the documentaries in a stereo box set, and a set titled The Beatles in Mono featuring 10 discs will also be released.

Here is the skinny on how it all comes down:
You send a Direct Message to Netfirms via Twitter asking us to register a domain name for you. If the domain name is available we will register it for you and automatically add it to your existing Netfirms Control Panel and bill to your current billing profile. Today is the day that our sweet little Brody had to undergo surgery. He has had goop in his eye for almost a year. We cannot get it to clear up and believe me, we have tried. We tried ointment that had to be put in his eye every four hours. I was diligent with that and it did not help. I had the vet give us allergy pills in case our Indiana weather and pollen was causing his eye to fester. I thought that was unlikely since both eyes were not having the problem but I gave it a try. The allergy pills only made him sleepy.
Brody’s surgery involved cutting the inside of his eyelid where his eyelashes curled inwards. The vet also flushed both of his tear ducts. While there he was neutered and had a micro chip installed in case he were to run away or get lost. He is an escape artist so this is a good thing.
I got a call from the vet who was laughing as she told me that everything went well. She was laughing because Brody is already running around the clinic. You can’t keep a good dog down!
The not so good of my day:
I took my sewing machine in to have it serviced. I did not want to part with it but reluctantly took it in for its yearly check up. I picked it up and was so glad to sit down to sew. I had everything lined up and began sewing. All was good until I lifted my foot off the pedal to stop the machine. The machine kept sewing! It is possessed. It doesn’t stop sewing when I tell it to stop. This is not good. Ugh. Back to the repair shop it will have to go. I do not have time for this. I WANT TO SEW!
Do you ever channel surf and find yourself watching a program that you never would have chosen if you had read about it in the directory? I have that happen quite often. I am addicted to shows that show me just enough to lure me in. Show me a snippet from a show that has a mystery to solve and I am a gonner. Watch the following video and tell me how you feel.
What is going on? Is the woman talking about being addicted to drugs? Did she find herself buying an expensive handbag because she saw her friends in the Prada handbag shop?
I don’t know about you but I am sucked in! I have to know. Is the woman pregnant? Why is she in such a hurry? There are so many questions concerning this young gal. I worry about her unborn child. Is she harming her baby by taking drugs? Is she buying up stock in Pampers because all her friends are doing it?
There is another thing I want to know. Why is her therapist so involved in writing down what her patient is wearing? What gives? Waaaa! I am hooked!
Red Chair Confessions has a number of these videos and each one sucks me in! I have visited the Red Chair Confessions blog to see if I can figure out what is happening but if anyone knows, they are not giving out any secrets! Darn.
