You Might Be A Roughneck If
I just read a blog post on a friend’s blog that asked a serious question. Amanda from Shamelessly Sassy asked, would you date a man with a mullet? Before you crack up, think about this, how many nice guys do you know who are stuck in a fashion time warp? Amanda could have easily asked if you would date a man who had a Skoal ring on the back pocket of his jeans. Men do not care. They know what they want and are okay with their lives. That is why they are drawn to the real life television shows like truTV BLACK GOLD.
Watch the following and tell me if you are not intrigued. Ignore the constant beeping. These guys don’t hold back with their words. If only they would work as much as they talk. LOL
Men don’t need television that is written by a bunch of men and women sitting around a desk. They want to watch television where real action is happening. Shows like Ice Road Truckers and Deadliest Catch epitomize rough neck culture where in order to put food on the table, they take on jobs that could cost them their lives. TruTV BLACK GOLD characters are taking on the tasks that most men wish they had the guts to handle. I hope Obama produces a truTV BLACK GOLD Healthcare system for these guys. Ai yi yi! I am glad my son wants to be a lawyer. Oh wait. That gets pretty rough neck too.

I love Ice Road Truckers. I’ve never seen The Deadliest Catch, but my sister-in-law says it’s a great show.

Mullets, wow. So many people here in Alabama still have them. And Skoal rings for that matter. Luckily my man has a shaved head and doesn’t dip!
