New recipe alert!

Take 9 Klondike bars and lay them in the bottom of a 9×13 baking pan.

Spread cool whip over the top.

Sprinkle Heath Bar candy bars, that have been broken to bits, over the top.

Freeze.

Eat.

Yummm!

You can make 2 layers by alternating the ingredients.

It is hard to believe that 4 years ago around this time of the year, we had a tornado go through our town on a Sunday evening. It leveled a modular home, moved houses off their foundations and knocked down a lot of trees. I felt so bad for the people who had to clean all the mess. There were electrical lines down. It was very eerie to look at the apartments where we lived when we first got married and see that the roof was gone. We could actually see the refrigerator in one of the apartments. Thank the Lord no one was killed. It was a miracle. We didn’t even know it had happened since it was on the opposite end of town. We had a lot of wind while watching the movie Haunted Mansion. I remember being engrossed in the movie and being scared out of our wits when the bathroom door slammed shut. It happened during a scary part of the movie and made us all jump.

I hope this publish at a later date thingy works because on Friday I will be getting my hair done and then heading to Indy to prepare for this Saturday’s wedding.

#1. Lynne’s question. Do you cook items besides meat on the bbq grill, and, do you prefer gas or charcoal grills?

Well, I don’t do the cooking when we grill but other members of my family make things other than meat on the grill. Just last night we had peach halves that had been grilled. You have to try this. It was like a taste of heaven eating these peaches.

#4. Share a recipe for something that calls for American Cheese.
I’m taking the easy way out and choosing grilled cheese sandwiches.
Put a little butter on both sides of bread slices. Lay slices of cheese between the slices. Melt a bit of butter in a frying pan. Grill the sandwich on both sides in the frying pan.

After planning for quite a long time. The wedding was held and we had so much fun! I hope to post pictures soon and tell you all about it. For now though, I am wiped out! I don’t know why since I didn’t have to do that much. Everything was beautiful and it was great to see family and friends enjoy themselves. I didn’t cry at the wedding and was very proud of my baby boy while he stood at the altar and made an important step.
