Comforts for Baby Offers $10,000 Scholarship
I discovered a great contest that everyone can have fun with. From now until July 31, 2009, when you check out the Conforts for Baby website, (they asked me to spell it that way), you will find a contest where you can name Comforts for Baby’s cute firefly mascot. All you creative bloggers need to think up a cute name that is 25 letters or less. Enter online and you might be the winner! The grand prize is a $10,000 scholarship which will be awarded in the form of a 529 college savings plan. What an awesome way to finance your own or your child’s education. The winner will be announced online after September 21, 2009 so be sure to check back at their website.

The folks at Comforts are always concerned about the welfare of children and want each baby to start out with the best nutrients possible. That is why their baby formula contains all the vitamins, minerals, and nutrients required for a healthy baby’s first year. Nutrients that are found naturally in a mother’s breast milk are what you will find in Comforts for Baby infant formula. Experts agree that the nutrients found in infant formula are important in developing a healthy immune system. I know that when my children were babies, I always wanted the best for them. Comfort for Baby formula would be my choice.

Now, That is a Great Excuse
Ten-year-old Kennedy Corpus attended a Town Hall meeting with her father on Thursday. Held at Southwest High School in Green Bay, Wisconsin, the meeting allowed the crowd to address President Obama with their issues. Kennedy’s father hoped to ask about health care reform and thought it would be a good experience for his daughter. Mr. Corpus actually told the president that his daughter was missing a day of school and that he hoped she didn’t get into trouble. President Obama asked if she needed a note. Mr. Corpus thought the president was kidding and was very shocked when President Obama wrote a note to Kennedy’s teacher. Wow! That is something that she will want to hang onto. Way to go, President Obama! Very Cool.

Becoming an Informed Nurse
As an owner of a business, I receive many trade magazines. I rely on a couple of them to keep me apprised of new products and especially of how things are going, financially, in our industry as a whole. I am sure any skilled worker hopes to have a quality publication that keeps them in the know concerning their profession.

Nurses are lucky! They have an excellent publication that is full of quality articles. Scrubs Mag is comprised of articles that not only talk about the nursing profession but topics related to the well being of nurses. It is not another clinical nursing site!
I was intrigued by the article that talked about the new television series appearing on Showtime soon, Nurse Jackie. I wondered how nurses feel about being portrayed as walked upon sex objects. The responses listed in Scrubs is phenomenal. Real people are telling what they think. The reviews, much to my surprise, are not all bad.
When you visit the Scrubs website, you will find heavy hitting articles such as the one I described, as well as fun informative sections. With summer arriving soon, nurses will love the articles that give tips on makeup and healthy living choices. Summer fashion is highlighted with summer scrubs designed by well known designers such as Baby Phat Scrubs by Kimora Lee Simmons. Scrubs is aware that nurses do have days off and have articles covering new summer fashion items as well.
What a great publication! I wish our industry had a source like this one.
