XShot has Arrived
I have certainly been lucky of late. I won an XShot camera accessory! I have noticed several of my blogging friends who use the XShot. The XShot is now a staple item for bloggers to carry with them at events because they can use it to take group photos and quick snapshots with the people that they meet.
The XShot is lightweight which is important when you are hiking, traveling and doing what a normal day affords. It fits all compact cameras and is simple to use. No more setting your valuable camera up on a wobbly fence post and watching it fall to the ground. No need to ask strangers to take your picture! It was very easy to get this shot.

I have opinions about everything. I do get compensated for some of my opinions. I'd love to hear your opinion on the things I discuss. Please leave me a comment. For more information about my disclosure policy click

I have a Canon Powershot- it is good quality but hard to use (at least for me!). I do more video than pictures- I use a flip for video- VERY easy.

I’m thinking about buying my boyfriend some accessories for his camera. He’s an architecture student and uses it all the time. I’ve already bought him some other things, so I’d like to keep it around $50-$60. Any recommendations/good brands to look for?

They will be nature shots, shot pretty close-up, during the day. Do I need 8 megapixels or 12 to keep the images tight? I’ve seen regular point and shoot cameras with lots of megapixels, or is an SLR really a necessity? SLR’s work with RAW data, is that important?
