Walk for Breast Cancer
One of my most favorite people is Paula Deen. While I do not know her personally, I love the person she projects through her shows. I believe her to be an honest, loving person. I appreciate that she genuinely cares for people.
Paula Deen is the honorary chairperson for the Savannah Susan G. Komen Race for the Cure. The Susan G. Komen Race for the Cure® Series is the world’s largest and most successful education and fund raising event for breast cancer. Since its origination in 1983, the Komen Race for the Cure Series has grown from one local Race in Dallas with 800 participants to a global series of more than 120 Races with over 1.5 million people expected to participate in 2008-09. The Race Series has also grown internationally with events in Germany, Italy and Puerto Rico.
Another person that I admire is my friend Laurie. Laurie is, again, raising funds for her race for the cure walk in Dallas.
