Four Foods on Friday #66
Yay! It is Friday! That means it is time for Val’s questions for Four Foods on Friday. This meme is fun and easy. You should join us.
Here are the questions for week #66
#1. Are your Kitchen utensils nylon, silicone, wood or other?
All of my kitchen utensils are silicone.
#2. Do you prefer dishes washed in a dishwasher or by hand?
I prefer them washed in the dishwasher. I think they are sanitized with that hot water. I don’t have a dishwasher so I wash them by hand. Do you feel sorry for me?
#3. How many sets of dishes do you have?
I have 4 sets of dishes. I have my Nancy Calhoun dishes that are similar to Fiestaware.
I have some flowered ones that chip easily
and two sets of china. Noritake Asian Song
Blue china
#4. Share a recipe that calls for only one pot or pan.
Chicken Atop Rice
1 1/2 c quick cooking rice, uncooked
1/2 c (4 oz can) drained mushrooms stems and pieces
1 stalk (1 cup) celery, chopped
1 can (10 1/2 oz) condensed cream of chicken soup
1 soup can milk (1 1/3 cups)
2 1/2 – 3 lb frying chicken, cut up
1 t. salt
paprika
poultry seasoning (I like Mrs. Dash’s)
In a 2 quart glass baking dish, combine rice, mushrooms, celery, soup and milk; mix well
cut larger pieces of chicken in half for uniform size and arrange on top of rice, skin side up
sprinkle with salt, paprika and poultry seasoning
Microwave on HIGH covered with wax paper, 28 minutes or until chicken is done.
Makes 5- 6 servings.

Must have been chicken night for the one pot wonders
This might just be my next chicken dish for this weekend and isn’t Mrs. Dash just the best? I get all the flavors. They make all chicken taste better. I’ll even roast a small bird in the crock pot covered in Mrs. Dash and it turns out great.

What pretty dishes! I like looking at dishes. It was so fun when our daughter got married and we would look at all the patterns.
