Friends, Fun and Chocolate
As I mentioned on my blog, The Pond, I was involved in a retreat this weekend. It was called The Chocolate Boutique and as the name says, it was all about chocolate. The theme of the retreat was based on Psalms 34:8 which says “Oh taste and see that the Lord is good: blessed is the man that trusteth in him.”
We learned how good it is to have fun. I, for one, needed that reminder. During the winter it is easy to get downright depressed with all the gray days and cold temperatures. I recommend that you grab a friend and do something fun. I especially recommend some fun that involves chocolate!
On Saturday, I taught a clinic on how to make molded chocolate. I think these ladies had a great time. I didn’t know they were eating the chocolate until I looked at these pictures! I don’t blame them though. It was delicious.

That sounds like so much fun. What a neat verse to be the theme of the retreat.
I’m planning on going on a Ladies’ Retreat in three weeks. I can’t wait!

Looks so much fun! I want to learn how to make chocolates and it’s so much fun if it were with friends. This is a great idea. I live in Asia and would like to have this activity as well with friends. Thanks Karen.

Sounds like fun. Yummm. I’d never get anything made because I’d be eating the chocolate just like those ladies.

Ahhh.. I love chocolate and close to get addicted to it. Friends told me it could make me fat with all the fat and calories. But I’ve read some where that chocolate could have affected us in a positive way — have a good impact to our skin, our health, and improve our mood when we feel low. Well.. I guess we just have to know when enough is enough to minimize any bad side affect.
