Technology Through the Eagle Eye Movie

My husband and I watched an interesting movie tonight. Eagle Eye, starring Shia LaBeouf and Michelle Monaghan, will make you think about how everyday technology might be used against us. I was riveted to my seat waiting to see how stop lights could be changed from red to green, cell phones of strangers could be programmed to relay messages. Those were only a few events that turned innocent information processors into weapons of destruction. Is it possible that technology would ever override human decision?
This was a terrific movie. You won’t want to read blogs while this movie is in the DVD player.

I had a weird experience with my cell phone one time. I was driving, and my son was in the car. He opened up the phone to play a game, and a window poppedup saying the message had been sent. ?? I checked, and it said some message had been sent to my husband’s phone– but I had never sent it. He received it, too. He called me a few minutes later asking what I was talking about. I had no idea how it happened. Weird!!
About this movie– how is it? Is there stuff like nudity, gore, etc? I like these kinds of movies but I don’t like allthe excess junk they fill them with.

My DH is upstairs watching this movie right now, I’ll have to see what he thinks! I’m busy watching You’ve Got Mail, one of my favorites.

There’s a book by Stephen King called Cell. Every cell phone in the world rang at the same time, those who answered got their brains scrambled, went crazy and went after the very few people that didn’t have a cell phone. Now I will never answer my cell if I hear someone else’s ring at the same time. It freaked me out

There was no nudity or stuff at all. The only excessive thing was the amount of police cars that were flipped. I think you would like it.

We saw this in the theater and enjoyed it very much.
The first Jump Jerry Jump was a bit weird.
Technology is only as good as the programming and humans program. Humans aren’t perfect so you never know what can happen, right?

Eagle eye – i find it bit scary, a phone call and then threatening. Technology track and controls everyone life.

Hmmm. That movie could be used as part of my campaigns to rid the world of nasty little cell phones.
I hate the things. I especially hate mine (my office and my wife both insist that I carry one).

We use calculators for calculating now a days, even for simple calculation. When we have everything in front of us which is easy, we don’t feel like doing it the hard way, like doing the calculations mentally. I don’t think we can’t live without technology. It might take time for us to get adjusted, think like this, there is always a bright side for everything. But lets not think that there’s an end for technology.
To be frank I don’t know tables from 13 onwards.
