Four Foods on Friday #58
One my most favorite times of the week is when I check out Val’s questions for the meme Four Foods on Friday. It is fun! If you would like to join, please check out Val’s blog Fun, Crafts and Recipes.
This weeks Four Foods on Friday questions are…
#1. Does your family usually eat meals in the kitchen or somewhere else? We seldom eat in the kitchen now that the kids are grown and out of the house.
#2. Who usually does the dishes in your house? Me!
#3. What’s your favorite small appliance or tool in the kitchen? The microwave. I don’t think I could live without it.
#4. This one’s for my son. Share a recipe for chili.
Brown hamburger and sausage. Add onions and saute. Drain the grease. Add a large can of tomato juice, crushed tomatoes and beans. (I like kidney and chili beans). Heat to a boil and then simmer. Sometimes I add elbow macaroni.

That recipe sounds like my mother-in-law’s recipe. Good!
I’m the one who loads the dishwasher and washes the pots and pans. Sometimes my husband will help me clear the table and that’s nice!

My kids tend to eat in front of the TV if there’s a good movie on, but that doesn’t happen very often.

You know, the microwave didn’t even occur to me since it feels like such a standard thing like a stove. I don’t know how people live without them!

I’m so used to having the microwave around, I don’t even think of it as a small appliance, it’s “standard kitchen equipment”!
