Living In a Big World as Little People
One of my favorite television shows is Little People Big World. This family is a wonderful example of how families should be. The adults expect respect and dole out loving discipline. The kids accept their punishments as well as their rewards because they know their parents love them. Each enjoys a place in the family.
I am so tired of watching sitcoms where the kids are mouthy to their parents. The Roloff kids are typical kids and do let their mouths get the best of them at times. For the most part though, they are very respectful of their parents. I think they admire the obstacles their parents have overcome. They appreciate their home because they have taken part in making it. From the garden to the building projects, these kids are hands on participants.
What makes the show interesting and different is that the parents and one son have dwarfism. They face each day with challenges. Despite that, they are upbeat. I suspect that they agreed to be on a show to bring awareness to the things they deal with each day. We could all learn something from the Rolloffs.

Yes it’s true that watching sitcoms are now tiring, so it’s really good to have Roloff show where the kids are being a good example of having the right attitude and character towards their parents, toward each other and towards life. How I wish that more producers and directors will come up with quality shows like this.:-)
