I am in shock. I paid $2.96 per gallon for gasoline for my car. It is going to be a good week!
On Sunday, we drove to Indianapolis to pick up my mom at the airport. It was a beautiful day for a drive. Indiana has some of the most beautiful fall foliage. The leaves are deep reds and yellows. The cool weather helps us save on our utility bills. It is nice to turn off the air conditioner and the heater and open all the windows. I love the fresh air.
From CNN online: Stocks surged Monday morning as investors cheered the global response to the deepening financial crisis, following the worst week on Wall Street in history.

I was thinking about my 401k all week, wondering if I should change where my money is. I’ve only been in it a couple of months now but don’t want to lose what’s in there.

I looked at my kids college 529′s this week and after getting depressed over those decided NOT to look at my 401k. As long as you have no short-term plans to cash out then you’ll be okay. I just have to keep reminding myself that this, too, shall pass!
