Write It so They Will Read It
When you blog, do you get excited when you receive a comment? I definitely enjoy receiving comments. I banter back and forth with those who are interested in what I had to say. I am surprised when something that is written from my heart receives no comments. I am joining a project called ForumFinder to keep that from happening. ForumFinder has a comment exchange section that will bring traffic to my blog. I am excited to see how this works. From what I have been reading in the comments of other bloggers, it is a fun way to find interesting blogs and meet bloggers. I am always open to new things. I’ll let you know how I like it. Better yet, join me over at ForumFinder.

I have opinions about everything. I do get compensated for some of my opinions. I'd love to hear your opinion on the things I discuss. Please leave me a comment. For more information about my disclosure policy click

I don’t know about a service for getting more comments. I find getting out in the blogosphere, reading blogs, leaving commenting, and participating in memes does the trick. I might not get dozens of comments, but I get enough to make me feel like I’m not blogging into a void.

I agree with Tina, pretty much the more comments you leave the more you get. At least that has been my experience. People like your comments on other blogs they want to see what you have to say on your own.

That’s all you’re really going to need in traffic. Your comments usually involve other bloggers rather than no comments between traffic.

I think you are right. I am going to try the forum for awhile just to introduce my blog to new people. If it becomes too much, well, at least I gave it a shot.

Also, Karen, I don’t think you can take it personally when something doesn’t receive a comment. It is most likely not because of your post, but simply because the reader has nothing to say. Don’t take that to mean they didn’t enjoy your writing! Some days when I am pressed for time, all I can do is check in with my blogs for a quick read and head out the door. Other times I can go more slowly, comment, and become engaged in the discussion. There could be a lot of reasons for a reader not posting, but please don’t automatically assume that it has anything to do with you, your writing, or the entry topic!
