As to the kidney ailment that has helped your dog... the point is that our organisms are very-very different and the fact that something works well on animals doesn't mean that it will have the same positive affect on humans. I have recently read an article about new AIDS treatment that was absolutely OK to stop AIDS in animals, but it didn't work for people:( It is great that such experiments are made public, it can give hope to many people suffering from cancer.
