We Made It Home
Wow, am I ever tired. We traveled about 9 hours in the car today and made it home from our vacation. It is back to work tomorrow. Before we left, I tried to do bookwork ahead so I wouldn’t have a whole stack of work hitting me first thing. I hope it helps.
Both of our kids are grown and so I only have Lynn’s laundry and mine to do. That won’t be too bad. The laundry was usually the thing I dreaded most about coming home from vacation. Now, missing my kids is the worse thing. Ha! I can’t win!
I didn’t cry when we had to watch Stacy drive off for Florida. I got a bit choked up as she was hugging her daddy. I didn’t think they were going to let each other go. You never get used to leaving your kids, no matter how old they are.
So, back to work we go. I hope to fill you in on the details of our trip in a few days.

I have many opinions about many things. Let me know what you think.

Our oldest child is 27, married, and has an 11 month old baby. I still miss her being at home. It was truly an adjustment for me, first when she went off to college, but mainly when she got married (even though I love her husband). Things just change when they move away from home for good! So I can totally relate to what you’re saying.

Glad you’re home safely. I agree, the worst part of coming home is doing the laundry.
