Traveling
Yesterday’s trip to Tennessee went smoothly. We ladies were sleepy and got in a few winks while Lynn drove. I only heard him hit the speed bumps along the side of the road once. I am assuming he stayed awake.
Have you ever driven through the Cumberland Mountains in Southeastern Kentucky? You should. The views from the mountaintops are breathtaking. I cannot imagine being a pioneer and cutting down the vegetation to get through the mountains like they did. They were traveling in covered wagons no less! I don’t know how they did it.
We had planned on visiting the Indian mounds in Tennessee but never saw any signs for where to turn. By the time we gave up, we were near Knoxville and decided to drive on to my nephews. We had a great dinner with them and our daughter. It was so good to give Stacy a big hug around the neck. She had driven from Florida to join us all this week. Tonight we check out our lodging at the cabin! Woo hoo!
