Wedding Reception
Last night, we attended a reception for a couple who were married in Nashville, Tennessee a month ago. It was so much fun. We made the mistake of dressing up and found that we should have worn country and western wear. Ooops. Others came dressed up too so we didn’t look too out of place. The groom is a dj at a country radio station and maybe that is what prompted the theme.
The reception hall was decorated with such cute ideas. They used bandanas for the centerpieces on which they sat canning jars filled with coffee beans and other sorts of food items. There was a lemon at each place setting. No one ever figured out what the lemons were for. Any ideas?
The dj had most everyone dancing and it looked like they were getting plenty of exercise. I don’t usually partake in that part of a party since, my husband doesn’t care to dance and I am a clutz. It was fun watching the young’ans.
The food was delicious and consisted of barbecue type items. Pulled pork, macaroni and cheese and salads were on the menu. The wedding cake served as a delicious dessert.

Maybe the lemons were for making lemonade? Maybe the bride and groom met at a children’s lemonade stand? Come on, work with me here!

Maybe they should’ve printed the suggested attire in the invitation.

Maybe someone gave them boxes of lemons & the bride & groom couldn’t figure what to do with all those lemons, so they placed it on the table instead.
Or maybe the lemons are to compliment the tequila shots (?).
Or they didn’t want to spend on flowers so they used lemons as deco.
Hahaha! Who really knows what those lemons mean
But it sure sounds like a fun reception.
And thanks for the drop on EC. Cheers!

Karen,
What a fun reception! I have no idea what the lemon was for. Maybe they thought they’d have a “door prize” for the ones that had the lemon???
About the puppy, we are letting her cry at night now. It is so hard. We still take her out around 1 ish because she does need to go #1. She is on a schedule for food/water and she gets her last drink of water at 7 pm. My husband has been helping a lot at night so I’m not so tired. He can go to sleep right away and it takes me forever to fall back to sleep.
I’ve posted a recent picture of her today.
Have a lovely afternoon

The hubster and I were in a western themed wedding several years ago. Was probably the most fun we’ve had at a wedding (with the exception of our own, of course!)
