Relying on Wifi

Today flew by so quickly. It helps when you come to work at one in the afternoon! I like that schedule. I attended a class to learn all about my new sewing machine. I was early and so I drove over to the nearest Starbucks. I had my laptop and thought I could get caught up on reading my emails. I never could get online at Starbucks. They wanted me to pay a fee to join a Tmobile service. Have any of you had this happen? I didn’t have very much time or I would have asked the counter help to find out what was happening. I simply drove down to Panera Bread and got online quickly. By then I had to quickly read a few email and get to my class. The instructor was late! LOL It wasn’t a problem and we had a fun time.

It doesn’t surprise me about Starbucks. Today I had a strange thing happen. I purchased an iced coffee with skim milk. I’ve been doing this off and on for about 3 weeks. Each Starbucks in the Targets all charge me $2.16 for a tall. Today at one of the Starbucks inside Target I ordered the same drink but a grande for $2.49. BUT….this time they said if I wanted milk and THEY poured it in the glass I would be charged 30cents for 2 T of milk. Otherwise I would have to pour it myself from the self serve bar. I was dumbfounded because none of the other Starbucks inside Target do that. Oh well…..so I poured it myself. Also recently I checked on the Starucks WIFI inside Targets and I was told they only use Verison and only customers with a Verison account could use it. My account is with AT&T so I couldn’t use it.

I just ordered a laptap and can’t wait to be able to connect at all kinds of places. My local McDonalds has it free and I don’t go there much, but I might just go sit in the parking lot to get away from everyone and do my blogging and check my email!

Oh! How cool to get a new laptop. I have just about worn out the keys on this one. I usually just sit in the parking lot at those places. I bought a plug in adaptor for my car. You will want one of those.

I hate trying to connect to wifi while out and about. I pay the top BT tarrif and still can’t use the openBT thingy because I joined up too early. Now its free!!
