Weekend Warriors
We had an enjoyable weekend. We traveled to our son’s home to celebrate his birthday. I had made a yummy chocolate cake and brought it and candles. He had made the most delicious cheesecake dessert. Needless to say, we ate well. We shopped a bit and went to the movies. We saw Get Smart with Steve Carell and Anne Hathaway. It was pretty funny. Not rip roaring fall in the aisle funny but cute. I enjoyed it except I was freezing. I do not know why the theaters have to so loud and so cold. I needed my blankie.

I have many opinions about many things. Let me know what you think.

I just saw Get Smart today. It was okay, I was disappointed because it had received such a glowing review. I would have rather rented it. The original Get Smart is so much better and didn’t have to resort to nasty comment, boob grabbing and male to male kissing to be funny. IMHO.

Hi Karen..
I’ve heard rave reviews about this movie too.. I’d rather watch movies like these on DVD. Only movies with great effects, like 300, Pirates of the Caribbean, LOTR, Transformers, etc, must be watched in the theaters.
The last time I went to the theaters, I brought my son’s hoodie sweater, and a wool pashmina for myself and a jacket for the hubs. It was not in vain. It was darn cold. Don’t know why they have to jack up the AC. *shrugs*
Anyways, have a great week ahead! Take care!

Thanks for the birthday wishes for Greg. I will pass them on. I agree with watching most movies on dvd. If it weren’t for our kids insisting, we would never visit the theater.
