   I always thought collies were gorgeous dogs! Now, as an adult working with cat hair all over the place, I can only imagine how much work it takes to keep them looking so good:)

   That is funny — Lassie with “Jeff”. We always thought it was funny how they sold the house to Timmy and family and Lassie stayed on with the Martins while Jeff and family moved away.

   I think everyone wanted a smart dog like Lassie.

   Jeff’s family left Lassie? Wasn’t Lassie the dog that was able to get home after tons of hardships? Why would a family leave Lassie and why wouldn’t Lassie track down Jeff and his family? Seems preposterous to me.

   My husband loves Lassie! His family has always had collies.

   We had a collie when I was 4-6 years old. His name was Hercules but we called him “Herkie.” That dog could hear for miles!

   I remember both loving and being anxious about this show as a child. I would run out of the room when the drama increased.

    I always wanted a Lassie dog since the show was on…but what Marybeth said is true, I can’t imagine the amount of work it takes to keep up the hair!
