My husband collects custom knives. This knife was made by Scagel who was an early custom knife maker who inspired many collectors and fellow knife makers.

Functional works of art! We have a knife/sword shop here in town, and a friend of mine who’s a collector has taken me in there a few times to explain the differences between each one. Utterly fascinating, and I’m so glad you posted this today.

I was just going to say the same thing as Mad Squirrel, took me a minute to see what it was! My husband has some vintage pocketknives, nothing that big though
