I've always been amazed at how benefical bike riding is for the whole body. You would think it would only target the legs but not so. In my youth (I'm 51 now) I did some solo trips including one from Vancouver to Calgary so I heartily endorse bicycling as a great way to stay fit and to enjoy the scenery in slow motion. :)

My husband is 59 and I am 56. We love to ride our bikes. We ride every day now that he is retired. Last year he rode his bike up Mount Lomand, just to prove to himself that he could still do it. This just shows that you are never too old to ride a bike.
