Ridden Your Bike Lately?
Did you know that May is National Bike Month? I am lucky because I walk out my kitchen door and I am in our store. Many people have to drive long distances to arrive at their workplace. If you live fairly close to where you work, try to ride your bicycle to work. The League of American Bicyclists is promoting Bike-to-Work Week from May 12-16 and Bike-to-Work Day on Friday, May 16.

I have many opinions about many things. Let me know what you think.

My husband is 59 and I am 56. We love to ride our bikes. We ride every day now that he is retired. Last year he rode his bike up Mount Lomand, just to prove to himself that he could still do it. This just shows that you are never too old to ride a bike.

I’ve always been amazed at how benefical bike riding is for the whole body. You would think it would only target the legs but not so. In my youth (I’m 51 now) I did some solo trips including one from Vancouver to Calgary so I heartily endorse bicycling as a great way to stay fit and to enjoy the scenery in slow motion.
