Tackle It Tuesday Quilting a Log Cabin Quilt

I put the batting and backing with the quilt top and started to machine quilt my log cabin quilt. I don’t like the way it looks and so I am going to tear out what I have stitched so far and hand quilt this quilt.

Oops. You caught that post when I had the wrong picture on it. That was supposed to be a picture of my quilt. LOL The water picture is the lake where hubby was fishing last weekend. It was cold and windy.

Wow, looks good to me! I always wish I were better with a sewing machine!

Yes, when I find my quilting needles. I must have left them at Tina’s when Rhonda needed me to show her how to hand quilt. I’ll have to borrow some of mom’s. I like to hand quilt. It just takes a long time.

I’ve always admired my friends who can quilt, by hand or machine. Happy tackling!

Colleen, fortunately, quilts usually only require sewing a straight stitch. They aren’t hard to make. The hardest part for me is picking out fabric colors.

I can’t wait to see the finished project when it is hanging on my wall, Kelly! We have a bare space.

I love those colors, they work so well with that pattern. Quilting is one of those things I’ll try when my kids are grown. Every time I lay out fabric for a pattern it turns into a scarf, a wedding dress, a superhero’s cape or something else. Now I have quilt envy.
