Let Them Shine
I missed a cool concert of one of my favorite groups. Denver and The Mile High Orchestra performed last weekend at a college near our home. I saw them a few years ago and fell in love with their music. They perform swing like Glenn Miller performed back in the day and their twist is that it is Christian based music. The Glenn Miller era was before my time but I love the music. Each instrument in the orchestra gets a chance to shine in an orchestra that performs swing music. Denver is from Indiana and was on the speech team in high school. I always remember that and it gives me a connection since my son was and is still involved in speech. DMHO recently teamed up with Dove Award winner Kathie Hill to help her launch the new, one-of-a-kind worship & arts ministry resource WAM! (Worship & Arts Ministry). The first WAM! product is WAM! 4 Kids 4 Christmas and features two songs written by Denver.
