Precious Newbie
There are advantages to being older. I am having fun admiring my friends new babies and reveling in the fact that I am getting my sleep at night while they are complaining, lovingly, about being tired all the time. I remember those days.
I have enjoyed watching the progression of my hairdresser’s pregnancy. She and her husband were ecstatic to find out they were expecting. They sent out the most adorable birth announcements when their precious boy arrived. I was just in the shop last week and she has pictures of her sweetie on her mirror. She has one of him that was taken just after his bath. He is so adorable. I am glad I get to enjoy her baby and she gets to get up with him at night.

I couldn’t agree with you more about this particular advantage of being older! One of my girlfriends has a 6-month-old daughter, so I’m reminded fairly frequently of how lucky I am these days!

Our daughter and s-i-l have a 7 month old baby boy. He is adorable! They came to visit over Easter weekend. I got to cuddle with him, play with him and still got to sleep all night because they got up with him in the middle of the night when he started coughing. Being a new grandma is wonderful!

I know! Not that I get a really good nights sleep because I stay up too late surfing the net but at least I am not dealing with a fussy baby.
