Socks
When you decide to go shopping and hit the mall or your favorite department store, where do you go first? Is there anything that you always gravitate towards?
If I am just browsing to have fun and not looking for anything in particular, I always look at socks. I love socks. I love socks with stuff on them or ones in pretty colors. I like unusual socks. I especially love fuzzy, furry, soft socks.
I have my socks lined up in my drawer according to their color. That way if it is dark when I am getting dressed, I know which ones are my black socks and which are blue. I would not want to be caught wearing blue socks with my black pants.
I wear different socks for different occasions. When I wear jeans I match my socks to my shirt. Jeans are neutral so I go with the top for what determines my sock choice.
I love my beige socks with dogs on them. I like my socks that have lace on the band. I haven’t worn those in awhile. I must not have a white top. Hmmm, must be time to go shopping.

Now that I hardly ever change out of my sweats, I don’t obsess over my sock drawer the way I used to. I had to have mine color-coordinated, neatly arranged and always in top shape. These days, though, I pretty much alternate between one of five pairs of slippers… none of which go with my sweats.
