Murphy was a Pessismist
I just told my husband that I knew we would get another piece of information needed for our taxes if he were to take our tax folder to the accountant. He took the tax folder to the accountant and guess what came in the mail? Yep, another form we needed. Murphy’s law.
From where did the saying, Murphy’s law, come? I did some searching and found that the saying means, anything that can go wrong generally does go wrong sooner or later. Another take on the adage is that anything that can possibly go wrong, does. Differing recollections by various participants make it impossible to pinpoint who first coined the saying Murphy’s law. I would say that whoever Murphy was, he was a pessimist.
