Bunk Beds Encouraged our Imaginations
Having three girls in our family never presented a problem with space. We had bunk beds in every house we lived in no matter where Dad was stationed. It gave us room plus the coolest play spaces. We used our imaginations and made forts and castles out of our bunk beds. We would kick the mattress of the top bunk to make each other stop snoring or turn out that darn flashlight we used to sneak in one more chapter of a book. We loved having bunk beds.
Using our imaginations is something that should be encouraged. Video games and Internet often take the place of entertainment for all of us. Kids need to have time away from machines to encourage thinking.
