Thursday Thirteen
Today is a good day. I have the headache from hell and it is 15 degrees outside plus my laptop died. I won’t let that stop me from having a great day. I have never done Thursday 13 before but I think I need to think of thirteen reasons why today is a good day.
1. I’m having an ok hair day.
2. I found a piece of pie that I thought was already gone. Yes, I ate it.
3. My house is clean because my housekeeper came while we were gone and there was no one home to mess it up.
4. Mom sent my a cute towel with “bookkeeper” embroidered on it for my birthday. That means I got a package in the mail, which I love.
5. Wow, this is hard. I got the latest issue of Good Housekeeping in the mail yesterday.
6. My laundry is caught up. It is even folded.
7. I have leftover pot roast from last nights dinner which I cooked. I love pot roast sandwiches with a little bit of mayo and mustard on the meat.
8. I got out of being stuck in the snow yesterday. I tried to back up into a driveway and had about 8 inches in front of me and less than that behind me. I got the car to rock and hoped I didn’t plow into their garage door.
9. Brody pooped outside instead of in the lodge room. He thinks it is ok to do that in there because it used to be our deck and the floor isn’t finished yet. (I won’t mention that this morning he lifted his leg on my silk flower arrangement out in the store. It must look real.)
10. I got new rooster salt and pepper shakers for my kitchen.
11. Did I mention that my house is clean. I need to do the dishes. There aren’t very many dishes to wash.
12. I am wearing dangley hummingbird earrings that I bought in North Carolina this past summer.
13. I was able to retrieve my pictures from my laptop before it died.

A package in the mail and you didn’t have to give your credit card for it!
And what is a lodge room? I’m building a house and I think I might need one.

Sounds like your day is going well! I spent 10 hours saving my sister’s photos from her desktop last week. I am glad you got yours. Great TT!

We call a room we added onto our house “the lodge room” because it feels like you are in a log cabin. It is a work in progress. We hope to put a large stone fireplace in it next year. The walls are rough cedar siding. There are beams on the ceiling. We have leather furniture and antiques in there as well. We have always wished we lived on a lake but don’t see that happening anytime soon. We call this room the lodge room or the lodge on the lake that we don’t have. LOL
