UpSell at an Amusement Park
We were in Florida many years ago and bypassed Epcot all together. I never understood what the hoopla was all about. I could go to a museum at home. That is what I thought Epcot was, an information center. It might have been back then but today it is a fun and amazing place to visit.
We were shocked to be pitched a sales line when we got up to the ticket counter. It was definitely an upgrade pitch that cost a fortune. Perhaps, if you lived in Florida, it would be advantageous to spend $400 for hopping passes or whatever they are called but someone who comes to Florida every 5 years or so, it wasn’t a great deal. I think they should hand you a price brochure, after you pay $11 to park. When you get up to the counter you should be able to pay an entrance fee and be on your way. It was not fun to stand 30 minutes in line and then listen to a sales pitch.

I remember when we went to Disneyland a few years ago, I bought our tickets online in advance because I didn’t want to stand in line! It helped me get over the shock of the prices too.

Disney is such a rip. Even their DVD’s are priced about $10 higher then the rest. I really don’t know how Epcot has stayed in business for so long. The ride through the big globe is fun though, I will give them that.
