Miss America
While my husband was surfing around on the tv tonight I caught a glimpse of the Miss America Pageant. I didn’t know they still had a pageant. I was trying to remember the particulars of things like where it is held and could not think of any. I guess it never sunk deep into the oracles of my brain like other things like, what night Lost is on tv.
I did a little bit of searching and found some trivia:
The pageant is being held tonight, at the Planet Hollywood Resort and Casino in Las Vegas.
More than twelve thousand young women participate each year in the local and state events.
More than $45 million in cash and tuition scholarship assistance are given out each year through the the Miss America Organization.
You can purchase a video that highlights the crowning of every Miss America winner beginning with Miss America 1958.

I saw a bit on the news yesterday about this. What caught my eye was Miss Utah, she was a medic in Irag or Afganistan, cant remember, but she is a tough cookie! Sorry to say, she didnt make it very far. I wish she would have tho, that would have been neat!

Yeah, but if you do you definitely have TOO much money.

LOL I haven’t ever watched the dvd I ordered from my last high school reunion. I doubt I’d watch the Miss America dvd.
